Two Esteemed Citizens Knighted for Exceptional Service to Antigua and Barbuda

Two distinguished individuals, Ronald Leslie Randall and Samuel Aymer, have been knighted for their extraordinary contributions to national development and community service.

Ronald Leslie Randall Esquire, the visionary owner of Blue Waters Hotel, was awarded the title of Knight Grand Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of the Nation (K.C.N.) for his outstanding contribution to tourism and philanthropy.

Since acquiring Blue Waters Hotel in 1984, Mr. Randall has transformed it into a symbol of Antiguan luxury and hospitality.

Under his leadership, the hotel expanded from 45 rooms to over 120, with a 45% growth since 2012, contributing significantly to the national economy and employing over 240 staff.

Beyond business, Mr. Randall has earned a reputation for his philanthropy, supporting youth, health, and education initiatives through his work with the Halo Foundation, Island Academy’s STEM program, and various community projects.

His commitment to the local soup kitchen and annual prostate screening events reflects his dedication to social wellness and health in Antigua and Barbuda.

Samuel Aymer, honored with the same title of Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Nation, was celebrated for his meritorious service in healthcare and civil service.

Serving as Antigua and Barbuda’s first Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister’s Office in 1995, Mr. Aymer demonstrated visionary leadership, particularly during the recovery efforts following Hurricane Luis.

Later, as Minister for Health and Civil Service Affairs, he spearheaded the establishment of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center and Antigua’s first hemodialysis unit, which now provides vital treatment for many citizens.

Mr. Aymer’s legacy in healthcare development and public service remains a foundational pillar of the nation’s progress.

Both honorees have left indelible marks on Antigua and Barbuda, embodying the nation’s spirit of resilience, growth, and dedication to community welfare.

Their knighthood serves as a testament to their profound impact on the country’s social and economic landscape.
