  1. Congrats sir. But listen. It was a ‘prideful’ moment to see all my Nubian princes and princesses taking that graduation walk. Myy people, hundreds of white, Syrian and Chinese children attend schools in Antigua. But guess what? I didn’t see not one iota of anyone of them taking that walk, or even in the audience, except for Mr. Hadeed. What could have caused that? What is that telling us as a people? Is the university not good enough? Is it too ‘melinanated’ for their liking? Food for thought.

    • The university has just opened and is not yet offering all subjects. Give it some time to grow and we will see. And this has nothing to do with Syrian or Lebanese, Chinese or what not. There are over 2000 students receiving monies from the prime minister’s scholarship funds. Most of them are studying overseas or at other UWI Campuses. This Campus will certainly make a name for itself. And many will come here to study.

  2. Congrats sir on his honour. It was a joy to see so many of my Nubian princes and princesses taking the step to advancement. I have some questions though. How is it that there are so many white, Syrian and Chinese children, being born here, attending school here, but not one iota of them graduating, or even in the audience, except for Mr. Hadeed? Isn’t this stellar institution good enough? Where do they attain higher learning and why?

  3. Yes, Mr Richie Richards, congratulations to you and that tremendous West Indian cricket 🏏 team.

You guys brought Antigua & Barbuda to the World’s attention.

We thank you sir “… The man in the maroon hat …” 👏

      • Whether you black or white, serians or Chinese, people send their children to universities of their choice. That have nothing to do whether they like the university here or not. Most times when the results for secondary school results come out during graduations, the Chinese, Syrians and none nationals children get the highest marks during graduations

  4. @ Brixtonian. What Doo you think about the comment by @ Aghast? Any comments from the Byam man?

  5. Thanks to the vision of Gaston Browne, now picky head children can also walk that walk of their life. Tertiary education is within their grasp. And as Richie said, who would have never imagined getting honored in his own hometown. These things were only possible because of the man with the vision. History is being made in front our very own eyes.
