We’re you expecting them to fire the staffing that was work that night would that allows patients to be seen? What already happened cannot be reversed.
I have seen patient in their sound mind throw things at patient medical team and family member alike then walk off the hospital and go home and I don’t hear the public making an alarm over that……..

So this press statemnet is not even addressing the concern of the woman. We need to know what happened why the doctor had to say he or she is not working. Poor excuses SLBMC

Perhaps its time for a reshuffling of the hierarchy at the hospital. They all seems to be on a joy ride & not taking our health care at heart.
Too many times I have read articles concerning patients who are in excruciating pains & the ER staff take their sweet own time before they attend to the patient.
Some patients with reoccuring conditions that are accompanied with excruciating pains need an ID card so that they can get immediate attention.
If ER has a shortage of staff, why not hire the several doctors who have graduated from Med school and are presently unemployed.

Honestly, the behaviour of some nurses turning people off from even going to the hospital. Rough treatment, no explanation, and sometimes outright rudeness. It making the whole health system look bad, even though we know not every nurse like that

Staff shortage or not, at least check the child! That could’ve been life-threatening.

It’s like certain nurses forget say this is a calling, not just a paycheck. The way some of them talk down to patients and treat families cold… it cut deep. We deserve respect and dignity when we go for help

So let’s see if I got this right. Child has a HEAD injury causing blood to pool in his eye but the doctor only seeing seriously injured patients? THE FK?! I don’t have to be in the medical profession to know that this is a SERIOUS EMERGENCY!!!!! These so called medical professionals need compassion and serious heart transplants because their hearts are black( some of themym have none at all). Some a dem fit to sweep the fking streets their attitudes are so bad. That they would have this mother filled with anguish about her injured child waiting for hours and then turn her away is BS and somebody’s SSA needs to be terminated. And as far as that doctor specifically…sir/ma’am you forget the oath that you took says first do no harm? You aught to be ashamed of your daggone self. THE FK!!!!

Some of these nurses really disgraceful, man. You go hospital in pain and instead of a little compassion, you get attitude and eye-roll. People already scared and vulnerable, and then you haffi beg just for basic care. That nah right

The point is that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Why do ppl always think that an apology can fix something that has already happened? What if his injuries were worst than what the eye can see?

Whoever it is, is asking what the hospital is to do but what about what the victim is to do? They gotta be happy this is Antigua because if it was the US that mother would take in a few dollars for sure.

Licinda shut the f***up if she so freaking care bout her son why leave , why she didn’t stay them would have seen her , no one sent her away was clearly stated if it’s not a emergency they won’t see you for now, a matter like that she should have waited to see the doctor, no body sent her away,let the nurse no ur matter is urgent so I’m staying, if she said otherwise then u have a case,most times every body want to get attend to at once it can’t happen it one hospital to hundreds a people and persons don’t want wait but mek um be a f•••••king show all u rasss stand up they a sweat no wa all in a rain till marning show done, but to sit in ac and wait to be seen always a rush
