Aviaci Online – Silver Airways announced two new routes from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan (SJU).
Beginning November 16, the regional carrier will connect La Romana, in the Dominican Republic, and Antigua and Barbuda, expanding its network of Caribbean destinations to a total of 10 from Puerto Rico.
Silver will resume flights to Antigua and Barbuda, after the airline suspended operations in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
La Romana, meanwhile, becomes the second point of arrival in the Dominican Republic for the company, which already offers daily flights to Santiago de los Caballeros.
The acquisition of Seaborne Airlines, an FAA Part 121 certified airline based in Puerto Rico, solidified San Juan as the second major base for Silver Airways.
From its base in Puerto Rico, Silver Airways serves several destinations in the Caribbean, including The Valley (AXA), Anguilla; Douglas/Charles (DOM), Dominica; Tortola (EIS), British Virgin Islands; St. Croix (STX) and St. Thomas (STT), U.S. Virgin Islands; Santiago de los Caballeros (STI), Dominican Republic; Basseterre (SKB), St. Kitts and Nevis; and Philipsburg (SXM), St. Maarten.

The company is known for establishing links between Florida and the Bahamas, in addition to connecting seven Florida cities with its main base in Fort Lauderdale and secondary hubs such as Tampa and Orlando.
After facing challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, Silver Airways has expanded its presence in other U.S. states, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee.
Silver Airways current fleet consists of eight ATR 42-600 and five ATR 72-600 aircraft, making it the only passenger airline to operate these turboprop models in the United States.

Who has something negative to say about this? Brixtonian perhaps?
I guess everyone is smelling the amount of business the downsizing of Liat has left behind and they are eager to get in the space before LIAT 2020 comes on stream. Competition will be tight. But that’s good for the customers
Silver is a formidable small craft airline, they are getting very popular and visible here in the Orlando international airport.
Good for the company to bring back the route. Unlike Air Peace that has not been vetted properly, Silver was approved by the FAA to fly across the USA and it’s territories.
Nothing bad to say here about Silver.
Don’t say what you don’t know. Airpeace can never in any way to be compare with Silver air. Air peace flies intercontinental from Nigeria to many countries like china, Israel, Dubai and many more. Don’t talk down on a company that’s willing to revive Liat and create jobs for citizens of Antigua. Your hatred on Africans is a hatred on your ancestors.
