Sharon Clifton Kelsick of Dominica has been elected president of the Caribbean Union of Teachers, becoming only the second woman to hold the post in the body’s history.
Kelsick, who serves as deputy principal of Princess Margaret School and general secretary of the Antigua Union of Teachers, also heads the Antigua and Barbuda National Accreditation Board.
She brings decades of experience in regional education leadership to the role.
