Two men received severe sentences Monday for killing Clinton Mannix in 2009.

George Thomas was sentenced to life and will not be eligible for early release until he has served at least 30 years behind bars.

His accomplice, Joel Seraphine was sentenced to 25 years and must serve a minimum of 20 years before he is considered for early release.

The court heard, Thomas ordered the execution of Clinton Mannix after a cocaine deal had gone awry in November 2009.

The victim was taken to Dove Trail near Yepton Beach and a third suspect, Andre Nibbs was ordered to shoot him.

When Nibbs refused, Seraphine took the gun and shot Mannix, whose bullet ridden body was later found on the trail.

Seraphine pleaded guilty to murder March this year and Thomas was found guilty of murder by a jury a week later.

Nibbs who pleaded guilty to manslaughter was sentenced to seven years in prison back in 2013.
