Real News Antigua: Several large household appliances were stolen from a Mango Lane, Clarks Hill, home.
Reports say the caretaker of the house, a Cashew Hill man, reported to the All Saints Police Station that the house had been burglarized.
He claimed that a deep freezer, a washing machine, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a five-gallon bucket of paint, and kitchen and bathroom sinks were stolen.
This offence reportedly occurred between 4:30 p.m. on January 23 and 11:30 a.m. on January 24.
Reports say the intruders gained entry into the house by using a hard implement to pry open a northern single-hung window.
The stolen items were removed from the bathroom and kitchen, and then the perpetrators reportedly exited through a northern bedroom door.
A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the stolen appliances, but they were not found.
The Police are investigating

It looks like the police force is being outsmart by criminals. We need to invest in private security like in South Africa, it is time for the table to be turn.

The theft occurred on January 23rd, is it being reported three days later on the 27th? Check the caretaker.
Somebody must have seen a truck moving out the furniture and appliances. Or somebody must have seen truck delivering the items to the new location.
Police, do police work and stop checking bush.
@Saying, I too thought the checking the bushes for large appliances was laughable. The crooks are going to all that trouble to leave the stolen appliances behind for Johnny Law to find. The police must do better.
