Seven remain in hospital following Sunday’s accident

Seven people remain hospitalized at Mount St John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) following a collision involving three vehicles on Sir Sydney Walling Highway (Factory Road) last night. One person was killed in the accident.

 

Family members are mourning the death of Ademi Williams, 21, of Willikies.

 

Police say Tamara Mannix, 41, of Bowl Crescent, All Saints Road is in a critical condition, but the extent of her injuries are not known.

 

Williams was a passenger in a silver Honda CRV motor jeep A4941 along with Devonte Thomas also of Willikies. That vehicle was owned and driven by 26-year-old Neil Thomas of Willikies.

 

Reports are that Mannix was driving a Subura Impreza A46403 with three passengers – 44-year-old Joy Mannix , 18-year-old Lawrence Richards and Summer Bramant, 21.  

 

It is alleged that Mannix was travelling on Paynters Road when she made a left turn onto Sir Sydney Walling Highway.

 

The Honda jeep which was going in an easterly direction collided into the vehicle Mannix was driving and then into a silver Toyota Runx A48857, owned and driven by 23-year-old Andy Williams of Herbert’s.

 

The extent of the injuries for these persons could not be ascertained.

 

The deadly collision occurred about 8:30 p.m.
