+Senator Lamin Newton has awarded full scholarships to 20 secondary school students in Antigua and Barbuda, as part of an education initiative he launched eight years ago.

The beneficiaries, drawn from All Saints Secondary School and Irene B. Williams Secondary, will attend The Learning Center where they can select five subjects of their choice in preparation for upcoming Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) tests.

“This initiative is about creating brilliant minds,” Senator Newton said. “We will forever remain committed to our youth by preparing them for the future ahead.”
The scholarship programme, now a customary annual event, is aimed at equipping young people in the constituency with the tools needed to succeed academically and professionally.
