St. Kitts & Nevis: Second Disbursement of CBI Dividend Has Begun

1. Why antigua people not getting any dividends from our cip program? Eh why??
   The current administration needs to address that?
   They don’t explain nothing about how this money is being spent! Omg!!
   They seem to forget it’s the people’s money 💰

   • The CIP website outlines how the funds are being spent. We should be earning dividends from CIP, APUA and NAMCO, SIC when you think about it.

   • Yep almost 30 murders so far this year. Note also SKN has had a CIP program since 1984. This is only the second time they have given a dividend in the almost 40 years of their program. Antigua CIP stated in 2013

That’s what Government is all about.Of the people,by the people,for the people.Those monies collected by the St.Kitts and Nevis Government belong to the People.So they are giving back to the People.Unlike in Antigua and Barbuda.Those greedy DAWGS and BASTARDS keep the monies collected for the Government and use it as if it were their own.

   • @BlackMan yet in almost 40 years, this is only the 2nd dividend payment. The program in A&B started in 2013. For UPP supporters the grass is always greener elsewhere.

       • Sandra Clarke the grass is always greener elsewhere ? They are highly dependent on CIP money (started in 1984). Their tourism industry is not at the level of A&B . Stay over tourists there amount to about 130K in 2019 vs over 300K for A&B. Yes they beat us as far as cruises ship visitors but we all know they do not contribute anything close to what’s garnered from stay overs. The UNDP shows that in 2018 1,145,424 cruise passengers would have contributed XCD 35 million, while 122, 896 stay-over visitors (ECCB, 2021)18 would have contributed XCD 465 million to the SKN economy. Its our advantage in tourism why A&B leads the region as far as economic growth (says central bank governor Timothy Antoine )

     • Obviously this woman has a great sense of humour as anyone with common sense does. Just like seeing an add in any country with opportunities, most person would find it amazing.
       So wait hold on. No other country has crime? No other country has recent crime escalations? They know why they are killing each other.
       If that woman comes to our federation, not a thing will happen to her. She will enjoy it and make multiple trips.

6. How dunce can u guys be … 500 ec for those who made 500 payments to social security and 250 for those who made 499 payments .. are u serious how much did they pay into the social security scheme already and why is it coming of as a social security payment … So if your unemployed u get nada … This shit is a gimmick.. do u realize how much social programs we have here in Antigua … People get monies every month not ever 2 years what the f..k is 500 dollars … Antiguan jump at every dumb news

7. The ECCB is among the Caribbean institutions failing its people.
   The central bank governor Timothy Antoine visited Antigua planted a tree when on TV and parroted Gaston’s message about the economy and tourism.
   He then was wined and dined on Barbuda by PLH and De Niro
   The Governor did not touch on any of the subjects a Central Bank Governor should be addressing

   • @Winston Southwell – Why show yourself a liar? Timonthy spoke on the need to get more persons investing. Yes he also congratulated ABLP for doing what UPP failed to do, making our health system the best in the region. Its ECCB who hold the data for the region. You can go to their website and see the figures for each sector. He spoke about the need to make out banks more user friendly (opening bank accounts is too cumbersome) He estimated that 1 in 5 persons in A&B do not have a bank account (see Forthcoming initiative aims to ease headache of opening bank account
     17 June 202, Antiguaobserver). Yet you are ignorant of all of this because you want to inflict UPP on Antiguans
