ABLP Senator Samantha Marshall’s second request for a debate with former UPP candidate Kelvin Shugy Simon was turned down again.
Despite her persistence, Shugy remains firm in his refusal.
He believes the previous election results in January, where he emerged victorious and resigned following a court battle, already speak for themselves, indicating voters’ dissatisfaction with Marshall’s representation.
Shugy stated that a debate would be irrelevant and a waste of time.
Both candidates are set to go head-to-head in a by-election expected to take place in a few months, with their respective parties expressing confidence in their chances of victory.
