The Cabinet invited the Director of the Department of the Environment to its sitting in order to lend greater clarity to the partially-funded air conditioners that are to be distributed, at a lower cost than usual.
The Director agreed to commence distribution to the schools where some changes will have to be re-engineered to the infrastructure, including the electrical wiring, in order to make the machines work well.
The work will begin with the expectation of finishing many schools during the Summer holidays when the buildings are not usually occupied.

I’m a bit confused here. Black-Layne in her interview will Bullfrog on ABS, suggested that these were donated units and that they were ,in this instance, primarily for homes. Molwyn Joseph contradicted her, stating that the units were for government buildings and schools. Black-Layne also indicated that there would be future projects for schools. So who’s lying here?
Sounds like the units were donated, but the clowns in cabinet are saying, “partially funded.” This government has all kinds of financial issues, where would they find money to “partially fund”this?
Ii is my belief that Gaston Browne is using this to gain political points, faking sudden concern for bona-fide Antiguans and Barbudans, similar to the sudden, clandestine push to get his hands on CDB’s 12 million in an escrow account.
These misfits are not trustworthy. Nothing they do or say is ever on the up and up, just lies, corruption and deception.
Does the island have sufficient, stable, power generation to power the school units in addition to usual power requirements by businesses & homes?
The continuous ‘planned outages’ ‘switch issues’ ‘load shedding ‘ would suggest not.
