  1. “will attempt to reopen”??? What does this mean and what are parents and students to do?? Go to school to find out that school is open/closed or stay at home until more definitive and concise information is provided?? This is really schoolboy stuff. Chupz…

    • Exactly. Suppose to be Tammy send rain y want to send them back right after next day and not get the classrooms them clean out r washout??? I would say Tuesday better

  2. I agree with you @Rasiley. Who really did any assessment of the schools? Over a rainy weekend where people stayed home? This is the same stupid decision Daryl Matthew made with Phillipe. Students and Teachers went to school to find one big mess,no power,no water and just one big confusion and contrary to their claim, no assessment was ever done. Most schools were dismissed by 10am. Now these idiots are repeating the same mistake.
To think, we have the brightest minds in Education and common sense eludes them all. No wonder Education is in such a quandary.

  3. Let me make a common sense decision for ministry of education. Due to the Close shave by the passage hurricane Tammy and the flash flood warning several of our schools were used as emergency shelters ( weren’t they ?). Schools will be closed tomorrow Monday 23rd October 2023. All schools will be reopened on Tuesday October 24th.

That is what I would do, If my school plant management team were not able to drive to every school today and give me a report.
