Ava “Sassy” Charles-McKenzie expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Antigua and Barbuda for the major financial role it played in bringing about her successful surgery and recovery to date.

On Tuesday, October 29th, the media personality and calypsonian visited Health, Wellness and Environment, the Honourable Minister-Molwyn Joseph.

Her presence, as well as the bouquet of flowers presented to the Minister as a sign of gratitude, brought smiles to the face of Minister Joseph.

  1. Best Government in the region presently..We are truly blessed to have a government like you right now..The opposers are fighting such a losing battle ..

    • I second that. And they dare to say this is not a caring government. It doesn’t matter whether you are a supporter or not. When it comes to it. You are an Antiguan and Barbudan that needs help. This you never saw when the UPP was in power.

      • Any governmemt would have done this. Geez why do you guys have to make everything political? Kudos to the minister and the govt, but its their job for crying out loud.

        • Really? sometimes i wonder if i live in Antigua ,Guatemala and you guys live in St John’s Antigua. because the nonsense i hear at times,i must be living someplace else..I can recall in years gone by,the order of the day when people needed help, was selling Roast Corn& Barbecue on weekends..The only people who benefitted from any special help,in terms of Health care was the UPP extraordinary people. You are a blatant hypocrite.STOP IT.

        • Are you so forgetful? The UPP never had money to do these things. You guys just cannot stand the truth. Always suffering from amnesia when it comes to the ten years under the UPP. Even the mother from the baby that was from Grays Farms had to beg money from the public to go to Barbados to do her surgery. People died under the UPP because they could not afford to pay for it. All the diagnostic equipment was broken and people had to go to private clinics to get tests done.
Please give me an aspirin. Any government except the UPP government would have done that

  2. It is important to say “thank you”
I wish this young lady much continued blessings and good health. God bless

  3. Molwyn is always doing photo ops for doing his job, like when he put them useless garbage bins around town.
Sassy it is the taxpayers you should thank, it’s our money Molwyn gave you so he can get some political mileage. Everything this man do he take a picture for the papers but let a reporter ask him about filthy St. John’s and he too busy to talk.
