Over sixty students at the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute were engaged in a half-day training session on Effective Public Speaking and Communication hosted by Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa.
The session was facilitated by the Resort’s Public Relations Manager Leon Norville with supporting presentations on the company’s brand and training opportunities by Training and Development Manager Carlene Spencer and human resource recruitment do’s and don’ts by Assistant Training Manager Thalia Thomas.
Sandals Weddings Supervisor Luana Johnson, Event Coordinator Masadie Isaac and Tour Specialist Gem Ferris who are past students of the Institute, joined in to support the team by offering encouraging words to the students.
The initiative was organized to help better equip the students to become stronger public speakers, prepare them for employment interviews and also introduce them to the wide career offerings at Sandals Grande Antigua.
