Over the weekend, the police conducted a number of operations at different parts of the island that resulted in the arrests of several people for varying offences.
On Saturday, the police arrested and charged 43yrs old Sadique Joseph of Union with the larceny of building materials.
Officers attached to Coolidge Police Station were alerted of suspicious activities taking place on a construction at Cedar Valley Heights, and found the accused loading several pieces of lumber and steel onto a truck.
He was arrested and taken into custody, and the items were seized and taken to the police station.
