The chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), Foreign Affairs Minister E.P Chet Greene, is expressing condolences at the passing of former parliamentarian and Cabinet minister, Henderson Simon.
Simon, died earlier today (Friday March 29) in Barbados where he was undergoing heart surgery. An engineer by training, Simon represented the St John’s City West constituency in parliament from 1984 to 1994.
He also served as Minister of State responsible for APUA. He was one of the founding partners of the highly respected engineering consultancy firm, Lewis, Simon and Partners.
“Comrade Simon, a true friend of the people, will long be remembered for his service in politics, engineering and his penchant for education and youth counseling,” Greene stated.
The ABLP chairman is also offering deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Simon on behalf of the executive and general membership of the ABLP as well as on his personal behalf.
