Royalton Seeks To Improve Operating Performance

Royalton Antigua and the Blue Diamond Resorts have outlined various actions they are currently implementing to improve their overall operating performance. Royalton Antigua will be integrating taskforce trainers within the property team to support the Antiguan talent.

The Royalton Luxury Resorts are known across the Caribbean and Mexico for their incomparable service and incredible attention to detail and they strive to provide excellent service in terms of quality, guest service, value and professional behavior.

Royalton’s goal is to reach those same award-winning service standards in Antigua and Barbuda through continuous training and development of local talent to ensure a team of highly skilled professionals are available to deliver premium levels of service.

The Minister of Tourism and Investment Charles Fernandez said the Ministry’s officials are committed to working with the Royalton Antigua Resort as experienced Royalton Resort managers throughout the organization will coach and support all employees and is confident that this will improve the guest experience at the Royalton Antigua.

Anderson Howard, Regional Director of the Blue Diamond Resorts in the Eastern Caribbean said; “our employees will feel more empowered to deliver the elevated service Royalton Resorts are known for”.

The Royalton Antigua Resort welcomed their first guests on May 1, 2019.              The 5-Star resort is equipped with five restaurants, steakhouse, pool gazebos, gym, casino, conference facility, overwater bungalows and offers a wide range of activities including the famous RoyaltonFit™ program, mixology courses and dance lessons.

  1. That is what happens when the resort management team preferred cheap labour with little or no hospitality experience. Candidates with hospitality good customer service and interpersonal and communication skills had made applications for employment and were never successful. Management need to take a second look through the job applications that were not chosen.

  2. Encouraging news. I have been a part of a guest forum where many aspects of the hotel is discussed, some positive, many negative, and which has lead many guests to cancelling their reservation and going elsewhere. According to all reports, the staff has always been great as well as the beach. It is obvious though that there are many problems, not insurmountable ones, but ones that need attention and corrective measures if the property is to even live up to its 5 Star rating which according to many is highly exaggerated.

  3. This is great news and I do hope they consider hiring persons who need a permit to work in the country.
