Rotary Club of Antigua donates 20 laptops and headphones to the Lexia Reading Project at the Ottos Comprehensive School

The Rotary Club of Antigua (RCA) on Tuesday made a donation of twenty (20) laptops and headphones to the Lexia Reading Project at the Ottos Comprehensive School during a brief ceremony at the school’s compound.

The Lexia Reading Programme is sponsored by the Mill Reef Fund, who also donated a printer to the school, which will be used as part of the initiative.

Past President of the RCA, Mr. Cordel Josiah MBE, made the presentations to Mr. Foster Roberts, Principal of the Ottos Comprehensive School and Mrs. Andrea Roberts, Lexia’s Coordinator, on behalf of the Mill Reef Fund, the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club of Washington State and the Rotary Club of Antigua.

Past President Cordel was supported by several members of the RCA including Assistant Governor- Mrs. Evangeline Allen, Immediate Past President -Dr. Vanetta Rogers, Past President- Mr. Ato Kentish and Service Projects Director -Mr. Kirk Francis.

In accepting the donations, Mr. Roberts thanked the Club and its corporate partner, the Mill Reef Fund for the timely gesture and expressed that the items will significantly contribute to the School’s Reading Program and also assist learners with special needs and other reading difficulties.

The Lexia Reading Programme’s Coordinator, Mrs. Andrea Roberts also expressed words of gratitude to the RCA for the donation and stated that the donation will greatly assist in the further development of the literacy skills of the students with special needs.

  1. Again, where are the missing laptops that were under Browne’s control or lack of control in this case?
