Rotary Club of Antigua announces Kevin Silston as its incoming President for the 2020-2021 Rotary Year

The Rotary Club of Antigua is pleased to announce Mr. Kevin Silston as its incoming President for the 2020-2021 Rotary Year.

President Kevin’s tenure begins today, July 1st 2020.

Mr. Silston is an economist by profession with more than 20 years of experience working in the areas of economics and finance.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Benefits Scheme, a Public Corporation primarily responsible for financing healthcare in Antigua and Barbuda. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Antigua Commercial Bank.

Prior to his appointment as CEO of MBS, he worked for 5 years as an Advisor to the Executive Directors for Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean at the International Monetary Fund and at the World Bank, in Washington D.C., USA. He also has previous experience working as a Senior Economist in the Research Department of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), and as the Macroeconomic Advisor and Deputy Financial Secretary at the Ministry of Finance in Antigua.

Mr. Silston joined the Rotary Club of Antigua in 2007 and has served as:

1) Public Relations Officer 2008/09

2) Treasurer 2009/10

3)PE and Director of Membership 2019

4) Coordinator of “Meals on Wheels Program” 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.

5) Served on several fundraising committees over the years.

  1. Looks like a very decent guy. I like his suit, his style and the way he looks, much more professional than most in the Caribbean. Plus he has a good resume. He will represent Antigua well.

    Maybe he can be our future PM? If so, just please get Antigua out of CARICOM, that’s all I ask.
