Service above self!’ The motto of Rotary International was recognized throughout The Rotaract Club of Antigua’s annual installation and awards ceremony last weekend. Club members, guests, supporters and Rotarians were all gathered on Sunday June 30th at the Hodges Bay Club to witness the exit of the 2018-2019 board and the installation of the new one.

Immediate Past President Rickisha Terry, commended her board on staying true to the theme, ‘Educate Inspire Grow’ despite the adversity faced throughout the year. The 2018-2019 board was also highlighted for their growth during her speech, as well as the partnership with Rotary Club of Antigua and Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown. This year the club was selected as a finalist for the Most Outstanding Rotaract Project Award within the USA, Canada and the Caribbean. Ms. Terry ended her speech by sharing well wishes to the president-elect and the incoming board.

The ceremony continued with a display of awards to members for their outstanding service to the club. Four new Rotaractors were pinned and two others promoted from guests to prospective members. The club also awarded Ms. Evangeline Allen, Past President and Secretary Elect of The Rotary Club of Antigua for her support and service to the Rotaract Club.
