Roshane Adams, armed with a cutlass, allegedly attempted to rob 81-year-old Steve Lovence at his tailor shop on New Street.

Adams and another man entered the building, asking about altering pants.

When Lovence asked to see the pants, the unknown assailant threatened him with an object from his backpack and then brandished a cutlass.

Adams demanded money, struck Lovence with the cutlass, but fled when told there was no money.

Adams was charged and his case was referred to the High Court to be heard after September.
