Gillespie Foundation Donates Truck to Bolans Police Station to Aid Crime Fighting

6

The Bolans Police Station received a new truck on Tuesday, donated by the Robert Gillespie Foundation. The vehicle is intended to support law enforcement efforts in communities across the southern side of Antigua, including Old Road, Bendals, Jennings, and Ebenezer.

Acting head of the Police D Division, Inspector Devon Casoy Stevens, thanked the foundation, stating that the truck will enhance the police’s ability to combat crime in the region.

The donation was made by longtime Jolly Harbour residents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gillespie through their foundation, with a focus on improving security in the area.

  1. Thank you for the donation and I pray it is used properly. Really valuable asset in crime fighting.

  2. What an amazing donation to help fight crime here in Antigua. Fantastic!

However, Gaston Browne has mentioned that we are now an economic powerhouse; and in a recent published article the CIP/CBI programme is a roaring success.

WHICH BEGS THE OBVIOUS QUESTION TO THE PM:

WHAT THE HELL WAS THE CIP/CBI MONEY USED FOR TO BENEFIT THE COUNTRY???

  3. Our PM bears the brunt of the criticisms from all sides and angles. I guess these criticisms comes from our past which we are unable to move beyond. No matter what this current administration does, it doesn’t matter for some folks. So instead of wholeheartedly appreciating the generosity of one of our citizens to the police to assist the RABPF our thank you is laced with references to the past. Some of us will never move forward because we are stuck in the trauma of the past.

  4. But, but, but Sharon, didn’t the Prime Minister say that “Antigua is an economic powerhouse?”.

And as a powerhouse, surely we can now afford crime fighting vehicles for our brave policemen and women?

You must expect some sort of criticism if YOUR Prime Minister talks utter gibberish!

PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG 😁

  5. The concerned citizens donated it for the use of the community. They were not satisfied that the one vehicle in the station was adequately serving the community. I am sure that the Commissioner of Police who holds a BSc in INEPTITUDE is going to withdraw that one that’s already there and leave the community with inly one vehicle. I also hope that i do not see the two vehicles attached to Bolans Police Station in St Johns at the same time. Thanks from me to the donors.

  6. This was a nice gift but then again, not exactly a surprise since one of Robert Gillespie’s companies owns the Jolly Harbour Marina and Boatyard and the management company for the property owners there.
