Road Closure and Traffic Management plan

Traffic Management Notice:

Date:  Tuesday 9^th November, 2021.

Over the next two weeks, road users will experience traffic interventions with work under the Government of Antigua and Barbuda Second Road Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project.

The flow of traffic will be affected on Sir Sydney Walling Highway and Valley Road North:

Night Works on a section of Valley Road North –

Road Closure – from 8:00pm to 5:00am

• Continued diversion at Little Creek Bridge.
• A partial closure will take place on Valley Road North at night from 8:00pm to 5:00am. This will affect the movement of vehicles between the Nut Grove Playfield and the Big Creek on Thursday, 10th November, 2021, and Friday, 12th November, 2021.

Flag Persons will be on hand to provide guidance to road users where the Contractor institutes single lane traffic to facilitate the laying of APUA water mains.

Single Lane Traffic along sections of Sir Sydney Walling Highway (SSWH).

• Single Lane traffic will be in place on a section of SSWH from the Sugar Factory to the Transport Board Office controlled by Flag Persons during the day, and Traffic Lights at night.

• Single Lane Traffic will also be in place on SSWH from the junction of PotWorks Rd to MountJoy Roundabout during daylight hours only. Flag Persons will control the flow of traffic.

Road users are advised to proceed with extreme caution through the road works construction zones and look out for signage.
