Since being elected in 2014, the Gaston Browne Administration has raised the hopes and dreams of many Antiguans and Barbudans with the announcement of an extensive list of development projects.

The Gaston Browne-led Labour Party has also amassed the highest number of failed projects under any government in the history of Antigua and Barbuda, the Eastern Caribbean, and likely the world.

In addition to dashing the hopes and dreams of long-term prosperity for many Antiguans and Barbudans, our country is now suffering from an unemployment and an underemployment crisis. There are simply too few good paying jobs to meet the needs of our people.

Gaston Browne also refuses to provide meaningful updates or progress reports to our thousands of frustrated job-seekers. Instead, he keeps piling new promises on top of his massive pile of unfulfilled headline announcements.

In light of the deepening unemployment crisis, the Prime Minister should come to the nation and explain the reasons for the apparent failure of dozens of major projects which were announced during budget presentations, and by senior ABLP officials over the past 10 years.

I further call on Gaston Browne to explain why his government is unable to provide timely and accurate employment data, in the year 2024.

The last Labour Force Survey was released by the Statistics Division in 2018. Despite the Prime Minister’s boasts about “technological innovation” and “developing e-government”, data collection and dissemination under the Gaston Browne Administration remains woefully inadequate.

  1. Keep up the pressure on this UNACCOUNTABLE government your Most Honourable Richard Lewis. We are pleased that you are pursuing this on behalf of HONEST and hardworking Antiguans.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS.

From a proud and patriotic Antiguan πŸ‡¦πŸ‡¬

Greatness will be bestowed upon you in due course. Guaranteed!!!

  2. It seems to me that Richard Lewis is the de facto leader of the UPP. He is out front every day taking the issues to the ALP. We never hear anything from Pringle. I think that is because he is not a natural leader. Every day Richard Lewis is talking on the issues and putting his parties case to the people of Antigua. The UPP members surely made a mistake voting for Pringle as leader. I have voted both ALP and UPP in the past and UPP in the last election when Harold was leader but if Pringle is leader, I just cannot bring myself to vote to make him PM. I will likely not vote at all and I think many others are of the same mindset. I just cannot see him as PM as he is not PM material. I think that would be a disaster. Sorry but it is the truth.

  3. In order to get anything…and I mean ANYTHING from Browne πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’© or his despicable Cabinet members, they first have to have a brain, then take their heads out of their asses.
This government is a joke…feeding their followers scraps of nothing, while giving praises and raises to themselves!

  4. @ Out Front, you wrote what I wanted to say. You are πŸ’― % right. We never hear anything from Pringle. As a born Antigua who returned home to retire, I’ve been looking and listening to both parties trying to decide who to vote for in the next election. The ABLP lacks honor and integrity. They are self enriching proven crooks. UPP, weak leadership. PM Lewis would have been a better choice for UPP.

  6. The Hon. Richard Lewis is obviously not speaking with the endorsement of his party. Or should i say the party with which he aligns himself. They don’t want him in leadership. I am of the view that his rants post convention to save face and to garner support from amongst the membership, certainly not from the executive branch.
There is an oversight committee which is headed by Hon. Jamale Pringle but he never seem to schedule meeting that is within his scope.
Wouldn’t that be the best course of action to get answers from the government?
Playing these public games means nothing to the voters as they can see right through the shenanigans.

  7. Richard Lewis, MP is a β€˜legally’ elected member of the Government, by the People whom he represents.

He does not, and should not need the endorsement of neither Jamal Pringle, MP nor the UPP Executive, to voice his opinion or speak on issues which affects, the People!

Richard Lewis, MP must know, that…

B…the truth is stranger, than fiction!

    …must be snorting coke!
    …or, injecting liquid dope!
    …like junkies, they’re useless
…believing that, Antiguans and Barbudans are voiceless!
…will soon be put to rest!
    …as, their trail of mess!
… leads straight to their address,
…and, before he could take off the dress!
…his mugshot was on the news!
    …racking up thousands, of views!
… and, everyone knew it was Dave’s

  8. Excellent points @Ras Smood. Good for Richard Lewis. What he has done essentially by asking these poignant questions, is to expose the clandestine, corrupt government, who continues to break the laws of this land with impunity. The puppet Georges at WIOC, dares to insult the intelligence of literate Antiguans and Barbudans by saying WIOC is a PRIVATE company, brought and paid for by tax payers, who still own majority shares, thus disregarding the FOI filed seeking credible information and not the blatant lies of Gaston Browne.
No response to the obvious nepotism with the sale of the WIOC lands and buildings now owned by his son.
Keep up the good work MP Lewis and let the illiterate, cool-aid drinking Labourites and Gastonites come up with all sorts of deflectionary nonsense.

  9. ONE THOUGHT OR TWO
“Wisdom Is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

“The ends (purpose/focus) that you serve that are selfish will take you no further than yourself but (BUT), the ends you serve that are for all, in common, will take you into eternity (community/partnership/sharing).”
