Residents of St Kitts and Nevis to vote in general election on Aug. 5

Nomination Day is July 26.

In May Harris asked the Governor-General to dissolve the parliament of St. Kitts and Nevis effective May 10, and said he would announce when general elections will be held.

Harris also stripped six Ministers of Government of their portfolios after they submitted a letter to the Governor-General on April 21 requesting that he be removed as Prime Minister.

The six members of Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) and People’s Action Movement (PAM) who signed the letter are Shawn Richards, Mark Brantley, Lindsay Grant, Jonel Powell, Alexis Jeffers and Eric Evelyn have not attended Cabinet.
