Reports are that an 18-year-old female reported to the Special Victims Unit (SVU) that she was raped and sodomized by a known male on Bendals Road on Saturday, June 11. The report was made the same day.
The victim has since been examined by a medical doctor.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old female is said to have gone to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Sunday, June 12, and reported that she was raped by an unknown male at North Street on the same day.
The Police have received certain information from the victim and continue to probe the incident, while the teen has also been seen by a doctor.
In another incident, the mother of a 14-year-old girl took her to the CID, where she told officers she had been raped by a man with whom she is not familiar.
This offence reportedly occurred on the Perry Bay main road on June 9.
Reports are that this victim too was seen and examined by a medical doctor.

Dear Just Socialist, in two of these cases the victims said their assailants were unknown to them.
I agree parents need to monitor their children’s friends, but parents cannot be around their children 24/7. This is where the wider community comes into play.
When we see anything that looks uncomfortable, out of order, do not let fear stop us from stepping in, whether it is to call out to the child, chastise the molester, call the police, whatever.
Parents of son’s need to teach their sons to be respectful, to understand anti-social behaviours and stay away from it. To teach their sons that deviant ways lead to jail. It is not just the parents of girls, but moreso the parents of sons.
More people need to see things the same way you view, bcuz the main question is, where are the parents?

When I was growing up in my small island, rape was considered a despicable act and scorned upon, now it seems that rape is a Sunday walk in the park and are even being defended by some on here. The last time I was in Antigua in covid last year, I saw how wickedly far Antigua has become(since that I haven’t been there since 06) and I said to myself and a few that were hanging with me, that this small nation is gone, I didn’t even recognize the culture anymore. I saw the weekness and the defeated look in the people’s eyes, that never use to be Antigua. Smh. What a damn shame this gem has been reduced to a invalid nation!!!
