RELATIVES OF ELDERLY WOMAN SUCCESSFULLY LOCATED
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — Monday, 12 May 2025
The police wishes to inform the public that the relatives of the elderly woman, who was recently taken into police care, have been successfully located. She has since been reunited with her family, who are now attending to her well-being.
The Police Administration is particularly pleased with the swift response and concern demonstrated by members of the public in this sensitive matter.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr. Everton Jeffers, extends sincere thanks to all who assisted and continues to encourage the public’s cooperation and support in safeguarding vulnerable members within our community.

Thank you, Jesus, that the family came to identify that lady. If she’s not well, I truly believe she should be in a safe and secure environment where she can receive the care she needs.
This situation has touched me deeply. It’s been three years since I lost my mother, and seeing that woman roaming the streets stirred something heavy in my heart. It made me so emotional—almost as if I was seeing my own mother in her.
But I thank God that her family has found her, and that she is now in safe hands where she can receive the love, care, and attention she deserves. I’m so relieved and grateful that she’s no longer alone.
