Yesterday, a moment of silence united the region in remembrance of port workers who recently lost their lives.

Among them was Antiguan Denroy “Waka” Harrigan, who tragically passed away following a horrific accident at the Deep-Water Harbour on July 18.

Harrigan, an employee of a local shipping firm, met his fate while unloading cargo from a container, crushed by a truck.

His battle ended in the intensive care unit of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

The sorrowful list extended beyond Antigua, encompassing port workers from Barbados and Guyana, their collective loss deeply felt across the region.
