Fifty-two (52) beneficiaries have been added to the Rotary Club of Antigua’s Covid-19 Food Voucher Programme as a result of a donation of $10,000 from the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU).
The amount will be divided over the months of September and October. Consequently, on Thursday 10th September, 2020, a day which marked the Rotary Club of Antigua’s 48th Anniversary, twenty-six (26) vouchers were distributed to recipients adversely impacted by COVID-19.
The CIU was represented by four officers who assisted senior Rotarians in distributing the food vouchers to a number of grateful beneficiaries. The second phase of distribution will take place on October 8th.
Chief Executive Officer of the CIU, Mrs. Charmaine Donovan indicated that the organization is committed to doing its part to allow our fellow Antiguans and Barbudans to feel a more direct impact from the Citizenship by Investment Programme.
The CIU is very pleased to partner with the Rotary Club of Antigua on such a meaningful initiative which will bring relief to many deserving Antiguans and Barbudans.
The Rotary Club of Antigua is equally elated with the partnership as it continues to receive requests for assistance from persons whose income has been affected by COVID-19.
