
Friday 15th September 2023: As part of activities to commemorate its 51st anniversary, members of the Rotary Club of Antigua participated in its 2nd annual Volunteer Day at the Fiennes Institute on Thursday 14th September 2023.

The residents were treated to hot meals and were also presented with care packages from the Club.
Speaking during a brief ceremony, President Michael Spencer, expressed that the Club is pleased to once again bring cheer to the residents of the facility for a 2nd year in a row.

“After the response that we received last year from both the staff and the residents, we were very happy to come together and organize this activity again, as a part of our annual anniversary activities. We are truly happy to be here and in the true spirit of Rotary give back to our community”, said President Michael.

In offering congratulatory remarks to the Club, Matron Christopher, thanked the Club for the kind gesture. She expressed that the residents looked forward to the special occasion and were very excited to hear that the Club would be present for the day.
Past President Joanna Charles expressed thanks to persons who contributed to make the initiative a success. This includes Rotarians, corporate Antigua and members of the general public.
Assistant Governor (AG) Diana Browne and President of the Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown, Athlyn Davis were also present to offer assistance and support of the activity.
