Pearl Quinn-Williams says that there are ongoing attempts at electoral fraud in constituencies across Antigua and Barbuda ahead of general elections, and she is appealing to voters not to let politicians use them to commit a crime.
Quinn-Williams, the United Progressive Party (UPP) Candidate for the St. John’s Rural North, says that persons are reporting being offered money to transfer from one constituency to another.
She says that if persons are not vigilant, the preliminary lists will differ vastly from the final register for elections, which would be published only weeks before the polls.
Quinn-Williams says she and her fellow Candidates have been on high alert and are paying keen attention to anything that has to do with elections, especially as it pertains to registration and transfers.
She believes the Party should seek to file an injunction to prevent, and to expose, any potential fraud being perpetrated.
The UPP Candidate says that persons should not expose themselves to criminal prosecution for any politicians who will leave them high and dry. — REAL NEWS
