  1. The question from the “journalist” is such a silly one. Why does the PM and/or AG need to be there? The important thing is that you have the heads of the respective agencies that deal with border security present to answer any question. They are the ones who are best placed to clarify any concerns. Then you are the same “journalists” that love to say this and that about political interference. Y’all too melodramatic!

    • Where was those ‘heads of departments’ when the damn plan came in on 1st November 2022?

      You are such an idiot.

    • SILLY, INDEED

Held no darn brief for anyone.

Indeed, it was a rather ‘…Silly Question.’

The Minister played the role he was so appointed: ‘CABINET SPOKESPERSON.’

Only a ‘…Chipmunk Journalist’ would pose such question.

      • @ Rawlston Pompey: Did u expect better? Those idiotic questions usually comes from persons who had a UPP agenda mind….. There are many more chipmunks in the parliament on the opposition bench. They all need to be placed in a zoo.

  2. Gaston Browne is an out an coward, he knows he MUST address the nation – especially as the world is watching -; yet, he’s decided to hide himself away.

I bet your bottom dollar that we’ll soon hear that he’s dancing abroad again (on some other useless matter), instead of dancing at home.

STEP UP PRIME MINISTER, THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE PAID THE BIG BIG BUCKS FOR …

  3. This is the single most consequential and important news conference by the government perhaps ever. Given the significance and sensitivity of all the matters involved, the Prime Minister & Attorney General should have been there to lead the team.. The matters discussed carried very high national and international value and gravity as this fiasco has placed Antigua & Barduda into the international limelight. Their absence was a grave disappointment in my view and would all but indicate the low level of importance that they have attached to this matter.

    • @Audley Phillip… Again, while you mean well you have missed the mark on this issue.

What could the PM or AG have said that would have been any different from what the Information Minister said? Furthermore, the fact that the press briefing included the the top brass for the agencies that deal with border security shows that a HIGH level of importance was attached to it. Who is better placed to explain the issues in this case, the PM/AG or the people who head the department that does the work?

Again, it is a good thing for the politicians to remove themselves from the issue and let the professionals in the area do their jobs. In that way, people like you cannot scream political interference”.

  4. Are you really believe gaston browne want his face on this African saga? Are you mussa think he totally trupit.

The ‘teflon don’ is no fool. He is not getting himself involved (lol). He a kip out and kip down he head (lol).

  5. Today’s Cabinet Briefing was again a great display by the Gaston Browne led administration of TRANSPARENCY. Even in the USA when they have press briefings such as these, they do not let any and every media house in. But then again, the scales are different. Let’s not dwell on insignificant questions from the Observer reporter. He was reading from his tablet. I guess his boss was directing him to ask that question. Only one department was missing to answer one of the most pertinent questions. And that was the Airport Authority. Who is behind the second airline that flew those Cameroonians to Antigua. The identity of this entity is still dubious. We need to know who jumped into this loophole so quickly. And for that I think we need answers. Is this Marvelous Mike’s brother or what? How did they find out about the arrangement and make use of it? Who are these people?
However, a great press briefing and really what would the PM or the AG contribute differently to this issue. And I hope the reporters keep the heat on the COP with regards to his investigation. As obviously there are more players involved in this form of Migrant Trafficing/Smuggling. Who are these people in Antigua and Barbuda and what caused the boat to sink?

    • @ From The Sideline, you don’t have to convince the illiterate and the unintelligible … THEY BELIEVE YOU 💯% 😁

    • Sidelines stop lying about a second airline — show us the evidence of any second airline. You all are so despicable. There is not going be be anyone identified because what you’re claiming is a fucking lie. You think Antiguans are so stupid that we would buy such nonsense? The airport authority and government are so dumb that they allowed a second airline into the country three times that was running a scam? Is that great leadership? You have no trouble bending over to suck our own d**k, eh?
You are sickening, Mr high ranking politician.

When illegal shit happens people have to make sure their tracks are covered and their stories match. So they’re having their own meeting. They will stay under the radar until this blows over.

    • Antiguans, are you paying attention to the story sidelines is trying to concoct here. They are going to throw Marvelous Mike under the bus, but Marvelous Mike is going to have an imaginary twin brother in Nigeria that’s crooked — he will be the one who intercepted Antigua Airways and ran those flights that scammed the Africans without Marvelous Mikes knowledge — so Marvelous Mike then becomes innocent — And his imaginary twin brother cannot be held responsible because he lives in Nigeria outside the purview of the A&B police authority. Because some Antiguans are willing are to accept anything this administration says this is and will continue to be the story. But the whole damn thing is one BIG FAT LIE.
You should write scripts for movies & tel-lie- vision.

  6. Questions raised about these 3 and their plan to rassle the leadership from emptyhead Pringle

  7. YES, they are hiding like the cowards they are. And YES, they really don’t care, they already got there kick back.
NOTICE HURST not on the radio all week defending GB from morning till night, he know the PM lie, he hiding too, fraid he let the cat out of the bag.
Cutie better get his bestie RH to help prepare a legal defense for the PM and his minions cause they’re going down sooner than later. Maybe they’ll take the 2 of you down with him. We will see.

  8. So, Gaston Browne, the brightest bulb on God’s earth, was DUPED by Marvelous Mike.
DUPED by another fake foreign investor, again!
So, Gaston. Tenman. From the Sideline, Alex, Luther are you going to cancel and retrieve the ten or more Antigua and Barbuda passports that were issued in the now DEFUNCT Antigua Airways deal?
Blinded by Greed, Gaston Browne will be DUPED again

  9. The things missing from that Circus this morning were the 4 legged animals and clowns.I had some real laughs, especially at the Head of the Immigration Department.A way are we get she fram? A who she related to?

    • I too watched Katrina ‘Nepotism’ Yearwood’s performance @ WHARF, and she was totally flummoxed by a couple of the reporters questions; and at one point she looked completely lost and out of place in the cabinet meeting.

I thought Maria Browne was “out of sorts” in her position, But Katrina Yearwood acted – literally – like a fish 🐠 out of water. Embarrassing!

  10. @Rawlston Pompey, I expected better of you! The Prime Minister of St.Kitts has held a press conference with his officials addressing the disaster! That is what a leader does! He leads from the front, he doesn’t cower in the back allowing his ‘officials’ to bear the weight of his decisions, making them look inept in the process! In this case, the chipmunk is you for making excuses for the inexcusable!
