Members of the public are being encouraged to play a part in the name of the new secondary school in Tomlinson; an essay competition is ongoing currently.

To participant in the competition, persons should submit a 500-word essay with the name for the school of their choice along with a detailed reason for their selection. The winners will be announced closer to the end of August.

Education Minister Michael Browne during a post-cabinet meeting on Wednesday says the new secondary school is set to be completed in time for the new academic year in September.

It will begin by accepting about 100 first form students.
