Police are investigating the death of a prison officer who died suddenly.
Prison officer Merchant passed away last evening.
Ryves Merchant was at work when he complained of feeling unwell and left. The corrections officer died in hospital.
He is in his early 50’s.
His death has shocked his colleagues and family members.
