Prime Minister’s Office to Compensate SIDS4 Volunteers

0

The Prime Minister’s Office has announced plans to compensate the volunteers who donated their time and efforts during the SIDS4 conference without financial remuneration.

Ambassador Lionel Max Hurst, Chief of Staff in the Prime Minister’s Office, highlighted the critical contributions of these volunteers, noting their key role in the conference’s success.

Hurst stated that although the volunteers worked selflessly, they will receive a small compensation package in due course.

He also mentioned that the government has yet to settle some expenses related to the conference, including costs for national housing and public works. Despite these outstanding debts, Hurst expressed gratitude to the governments that supported Antigua and Barbuda.
