CANADA: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19

CBC NEWS: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday he has tested positive for COVID-19 and, so far, he’s feeling “fine.”

The positive result comes after he was exposed to one of his children who also tested positive for the virus last week. In a social media post, Trudeau said he would stay in isolation and work remotely while he recovers.

The prime minister and his family were moved from their residence, Rideau Cottage, over the weekend as a convoy of truckers and other anti-vaccine-mandate protesters converged on Parliament Hill to oppose the federal government’s pandemic restrictions.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is holding a news conference this morning as protesters demonstrating against vaccine mandates continue to gridlock part of the city.

A cacophony of honking and cheering filled the city for two days over the weekend as thousands of protesters voiced their opposition to various vaccine mandates.

Some honking resumed sporadically in the early hours of Monday and vehicles continue to block streets in the downtown core.

Trudeau, who was not at his home in Rideau Cottage over the weekend and his office would not discuss his whereabouts for security reasons, will make remarks and take questions from reporters at 11:15 a.m. ET as the House of Commons returns after the holiday break.

The prime minister remains in isolation after one of his children tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

  1. Trudeau is in hiding from a so called “fringe minority”. Don’t the expect to see it on the news but the convoy was at least 70km, which is 10 times longer than the world record. They’ve also raised more money in a few weeks than Trudeau’s campaign contributions for the whole year. If the people of Canada can get fed up with communist government there’s no telling where this will spring up next. Actually, we know where…Freedom Convoy Europe is already in the making.

  2. You have no idea what democracy is, how can you say that Canada has a communist government?

    • Democracy is MOB RULE (51%) with no protections of INDIVIDUAL rights. Even in Antigua where we have a constitution, the citizen’s rights are LIMITED by the addition of EXCEPTIONS to each of the rights that are enumerated with it. The exceptions nullify the stated right rendering it meaningless. These are no longer rights, they are merely PERMISSIONS and as with all permissions, they can be suspended, abridged or ignored by the whims of the ruling class.

  4. A likely tale. It doesn’t say much about the efficacy of the jabs he’s been mandating either.

    Has Trudeau resurfaced yet? Last I heard, he had disguised himself (again) in blackface hiding from the truckers.

  5. Where is the army and Police to shoot and tear gassed the protesters. Only in Antigua. The Canadian government respect their people and realize they put them in power.
    How did Trudeau get covid when he even had the booster? Notice the number of covid cases on the rise as more people get vaccinated.

    I hope the same trucker thing happen here too. Gaston Browne must be decapitated figuratively speaking. Only then we can return to normal life and he’ll stop stealing and back stabbing people.
