Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for St. John’s City West, Gaston Browne, addressed community concerns and announced several development projects at a town hall meeting at the Villa Polyclinic.

The Town Hall was held on Friday.

Browne provided an update on the Bobbey Alley Project, assuring residents that the project will commence soon, bringing significant improvements to the area.

On the issue of youth violence, Browne called for collaboration among parents, educators, and community leaders to create safe and supportive environments for young people.

He emphasized the importance of engaging youth in constructive activities and providing positive role models.

Browne encouraged residents to take advantage of educational opportunities available through the Youth Empowerment and Employment Program (YEEP) and the University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus.

He highlighted the government’s commitment to making education accessible and improving prospects for individuals.

The Prime Minister announced the development of a new building on Bay Street that will house a financial institution, spaces for entrepreneurs, a barbershop, and small businesses, with priority given to constituents to foster local entrepreneurship and economic growth.

Browne urged residents to maintain a clean and attractive community by keeping the streets clean and planting flowers, emphasizing the importance of community pride and improving the environment.
