Prime Minister Gaston Browne said: Today, is a sad day, as we mourn the passing of our dear friend and Comrade, Sir Ramez Hadeed.
Sir Ramez was a close family friend with whom Lady Maria and I spent a significant amount of time discussing issues spanning a plethora of areas to include; politics , business and diplomacy.
Our last visit to Sir Ramez’s home was yesterday afternoon. It was intended to be a surprise visit, only to be told that he was hospitalized a couple of hours earlier, from what appeared to have been a massive heart attack.
Sir Ramez Hadeed contribution to nation building in the areas of business, diplomacy and politics was significant.
He served as our country’s longest serving Ambassador, since independence in 1981 and was a regular member of our annual UN delegation.
Our country is the poorer as a result of his passing and we extend heartfelt condolences to the Hadeed family on his passing.
We trust that the fond memories, his achievements and contributions will assuage the pain of his surviving family members.
May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory.

Ambassador Hadeed was a well loved and respected citizen. He was a great supporter of many community and charitable undertakings and programs. He loved Antigua and Barbuda with a passion and he genuinely cared about the wellbeing of its people. He always gives and gives willingly and is never concerned about awards or accolades.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire Hadeed family.

I dnt know too many ANTIGUAN MEN OR ANTIGUAN BUSINESS OWNERS that could ever compare to the magnitude of a MAN as Mr Hadeed was……
He was soft spoken jovial and very intelligent sweet soul MANY WOMEN would flock to his office at HADEED MOTORS bawling that they can’t afford to pay for their vehicles and MR HADEED WOULD pay it without looking for crotches or making them feel less than …..
As AUDLEY OHILLIP SAID HIS HErt was so huge anyone who ask him for sponsorship or a lending financial hand HE WOULD GIVE WILLINGLY ON THE SPOT
ANTIGUAN LOST A GREAT MAN MAY HIS SOUL REST ….. CONDOLENCES TO THE HADEED FAMILY
A great patriot has left us and our nation is sad. Hopefully many more of us will follow in his footsteps as it would be challenging to fill his shoes. My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
