Prime Minister Gaston Browne Hails Impressive Voter Turnout in St. Phillip’s North ABLP Primary

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm following an extraordinary voter turnout in the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) primary held in St. Phillip’s North.

The voter participation in the primary was notably high, with registrants, net of claims and objections, exceeding 900 voters.

This figure represents a significant increase of 300 participants, or 50 percent more than the 615 votes garnered by the United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate in the 2023 General Elections.

In his statement, Prime Minister Browne praised the community’s active involvement.

He remarked, “An extremely impressive voter participation in the ABLP primary in St. Phillip’s North. Registrants, net of claims and objections, exceeded 900 voters. This is 300, or 50 percent more participants than the 615 votes garnered by the UPP candidate in the 2023 General Elections. ABLP’s resilient ascendancy.”

“Thank you for your confidence and trust in Gaston Browne & Team Labour,” Browne stated, underlining the party’s ongoing dedication to the nation’s well-being with the hashtag #SaferwithLabour.

  2. Some of those participants will not be voting for an ALP candidate or might not vote at all, just incase the boy is not aware. One thing is certain; what happened in St. Mary’s South is bound to make an appearance in St. Philips North so he’s going to be forced into a general election exercise again. He needs to begin stacking up on his meds.
