**Prime Minister Gaston Browne Explains Delay in Filing Finances with Integrity Commissioner**

Prime Minister Gaston Browne addressed concerns regarding the delayed filing of financial declarations with the Integrity Commissioner.

Browne shed light on the issue, attributing the delay to logistical challenges faced by the Commissioner.

Browne stated, “Within the last three years or so, there has been an issue in which the Commissioner has indicated he was not in a position to receive the Declarations. I guess he was moving office and so on too, so we just got declarations.”

He further expressed hope that the Commissioner would circulate these declarations within the public sector, allowing for an update in the records.

The Prime Minister clarified that the delay was not due to any fault on their part, stating, “Through no fault of ours but prior, the answer is yes.”

He illustrated this with an example from 2014 when he assumed office, mentioning that he had declared assets totaling around $30 million at the time, fulfilling his duty as required by law.

  1. You can’t serve two masters and if he knew he couldn’t honestly do the job he should have resigned. The people in government and their enablers stink to high heaven. Gaston, if you had wanted an Integrity Commissioner, you would have had one.

  2. Lies…. the man accepts the declarations, over the last three years, at his private office on long st (next to the new dust to dawn bakery outlet)

if they know (based on what the PM just tried to confabulate regarding) that the man cannot function or he needs a new location to function from, why hasnt this been addressed? my opinion is they like it so

  3. Lol, if the Commissioner of Integrity didn’t do his job because he was moving locations, why is he still in the same location?
I’ve been waiting a long time to see that face in the newspaper.
Let the games begin. I’ll be watching closely.
