What amazes me is the fact that you guys insist on praising the UPP for its performance or lack their during its finite tenure.
The people continue to reject them after their 10-year, 3-month stint in office. Their own MPs left the scene afterb their loss. ABLP’s team stayed around during their loss and were all returned to office in 2014. That is a clear indictment of the UPP’s commitment and loyalty to its brand.
On another note: what significant contribution has any member of the opposition made since its gain of 5 additional seats in parliament? Just name one.
You keep on criticizing the ABLP for its “failures” but you haven’t yet mentioned a single meaningful contribution made by any of the members on the opposition benches in parliament.
They refused to debate the budget. Having a mock parliament, a month later shows how significant they are as a party.
They are not fighting for Antigua, but rather for themselves.
Too many clashing personalities on that side. Leaked letters of endorsement for the candidate (who eventually lost), then a retraction before their convention; shows the disunity among them, despite their public utterances.
The new and fresh talent being harnessed by the Labour Party will bear fruit in time to come.

The SIDS4 Conference was a major success from all accounts, as I was on island to experience it and heard the feedback from many who attended. Even the passengers on my return flight were expressing their kind and overwhelming reviews, in great detail.
My heart remains warm since this life-changing experience.

The demonstrators exercised their democratic right to protest, but the delegates deemed them to be insignificant as they were so small in numbers. Based on the conversations being had, the attendees are of the view that the good in our country must outweigh the bad, based solely on the numbers.

What Gaston said was that didn’t pursue transfer in his constituency (people who have moved to his area), but instead let those persons stay where they are. He also said that he had persons who had moved out of his constituency to transfer to their new address. Both are legal. You don’t believe me? Harold Lovell lives in Bendals but is registered and votes in City East. Gaston Browne lives Jolly Harbour but is registered and votes in City West. There is nothing in law that mandates transfers when you move. Both registration were taken to court and both failed. Why? Because both Lovell and Gaston has bills addressed to Fort Road and Villa, respectively. I also have two cousins (and I know many other people) who live in one area but vote in others.
