The Council had claimed that PLH owed $1 million USD in unpaid rent and sought to count PLH’s contribution to the development of the Barbuda airport as future rent payments.

However, the court rejected the Council’s claims, siding with PLH based on agreements signed in 2017.

In a statement, Browne said, “Common sense and signed agreements from 2017 prevailed.” He criticized the Barbuda Council’s actions, stating, “When will they learn that destructive behaviors and frivolous litigations bring no value to our nation?”

The Prime Minister further emphasized the need for productive collaboration, suggesting that these legal battles do more harm than good for the progress and development of Antigua and Barbuda.

    • he is an embaRASSment to the law school he gradauted from. They need to rescind his degree asap!!! wilmoth Daniel told us about his trackrecord…LOSER record

  1. Lunny Lanny Boozoo should Back Off Barbuda Lands. He Prides Himself on being Obessed with Enpowering Fireigners oblivious to the Fact that indegenous Antiguan and Barbudians BUILD this Ciuntry fron scratch. Not Chinuses ir Guyanises or Robert Vesco or De Nero …

  2. When will this Council stop Their STUPIDNESS ? Justin Simon Statistics are getting really BAD. He will definitely lose the law suite against Hon. Anthony Smith JR.

  3. What to me is of more concern is the high Legal Cost that these litigations always cost the Council, which has to be paid by the very same taxes that they want from Central Government. So in fact we are all paying for the nonsense the Barbuda Council does. When will this end. When will they feel it in their own pockets. Just while AG lost so many cases costing the Treasury millions of dollars and not one dollar came out of his pocket. So sad.

  4. So Mr. Justin Simon is the issue here? There seems not to be any concern that Gaston is challenging all of us to give our lands to foreign entities. That PLH was able to cart off $1.4 billion in the first quarter of a calendar year , without our treasury receiving a red cent, should mean everything to us but I guess some of us couldn’t care any less because it’s Gaston’s decision. Take note of what’s happening between Russia and Ukraine and Israel and Palestine/ Jordan.

  5. @Rovi you sound dunce and uninformed. Stop spreading lies and regurgitating hearsay from Miss Knight and the penguin that sell greasy burgers. Not to mention the propaganda from the CONVICTED PEDOPHILE

  6. @Rovi, Excellent points. There is just no rational thinking with these dumb Labourites. They always seem to miss the elephant in the room.
The idiot signed away the revenues that could have been collected from PLH for God knows how long. That clown, the Tessa Bartley one, is claiming misinformation, but of course, never bothered to tell us where. Guess he/she missed the empty treasury post.
The idiot DAWG is a scourge on this country, but I guess when the sufferations start they will acquiesce. Maybe. Maybe they forgot about Choko Weston explaining how the DAWG is giving away Antigua and Barbuda and robbing our treasury of needed revenue.
Pedophile he says? Ask the DAWG about that one.
