Kareem Jacobs of Potters was sentenced to 36 months in prison for gun and ammunition convictions today.
He took sole responsibility for the crime and the charges were dropped against his mother and a friend who were charged with the same offense.
The 26-year-old was also fined a combined amount of $3000 forthwith for two drug charges or faces additional sentences of eight months imprisonment for each.
All this while the convict is yet to pay off a $40,000 fine for drug convictions back in February.
That fine is due in October and will attract another two-years imprisonment if Jacobs fails to pay.
Police reported they uncovered a loaded .38 revolver, 32.2 grams of Cannabis during a search of the man’s home in Potters last Friday.
