“The person, their quarantine would have ended yesterday (Thursday), so we made arrangements today (Friday) for their families to pick them up”, she sad adding, “for those who didn’t have transportation or anybody to pick them up, we had arranged transportation to take them to their homes”.

The man, who was said to be in his 60s, was among passengers who went directly into quarantine after arriving in the country two weeks ago.

“What was described to me, they were in very high spirits and the gentleman was making his way to the lobby and when he eventually got to the lobby, he collapsed and resuscitation began, he was taken by ambulance to Mount St. John’s but unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival”, the CMO said.
