Port Authority’s entire top management in isolation after COVID exposure

Top executives of the Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority have been asked to self-isolate after a member of the Ports Management team tested positive for COVID-19.

Port Manager Darwin Telemaque reported to both Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Port Chair, Senator Mary Clair Hurst about the development at the port after being informed by Ministry of Health Officials on the weekend.

Reports are that two employees and an Executive Manager have tested positive for the virus

Port Management met with supervisors and union officials this past weekend to formulate plans to allow for the port to continue operations.

The Union is reportedly insisting that all employees at the port should now be tested for the virus to ensure that there is no asymptomatic employee, who could still be shedding the virus to others on the port.

  1. Why is Covid-19 spreading like wild fire in Antigua and Barbuda? What is the average temperature daily in the Nation.Because some of you have been saying that sunlight kills the Virus.I say that is hag-wash.Nutten tall go so.The reason I am saying so.Back in the Summer months.Where I am living the average daily temp was 99 degrees. Some of those days were as high as 110 degrees.During that time the Virus had the highest surge.Because persons did not wear masks, social distance and perhaps wash their hands less.So wear your masks, wash your hands and stay at least 6 feet from others.

  2. This couldn’t happen to a more deserving less than human as the likes of Darwin Telemaque. He not only abuses the position but thinks he is some deity and employees are there for his beck and call.

Maybe Covid-19 will do what it does.
