Public Cautioned Against Breaching Social Gathering Restrictions
The Police are again cautioning the general public to desist from breaching the Covid -19 Protocols on Social Gathering and to adhere to the restrictions governing the closure of public beaches for the upcoming Easter Holiday Weekend.
The public is further reminded that no food, no music, no liming and loitering; or any form of gathering or picnicking will be allowed to take place on any of the beaches. The mandatory wearing of face masks in public places and the social distancing protocols must continue to be adhered to.
Likewise, no more than five people are allowed to gather at any place at any given time, whilst also observing the social distancing guidelines.
Property owners are also cautioned against using their properties to have social events and private functions. Anyone failing to comply with these restrictions will be penalized.
The Police, along with the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard, will be fully utilizing all available resources to effectively carry out regular patrols on all beaches in Antigua and Barbuda; both on land and the sea.
ALL beaches will be CLOSED from 7:00 p.m Thursday, April 1 to 5:00 a.m Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
The Police Administration encourages all to continue following the COVID-19 regulations and wishes everyone a safe and incident-free holiday weekend.

Any violaters must be charged. fined and if necessary locked up, and that includes whites as well as black. Nobody is above the law, whether citizen or visitor. The law is for the lawless.

Well..I am sure some persons with boats will be out surfing the waters and having beach parties on the off shore islands. Just close your eyes and see how coast guard will open their eyes wide and ignore all the rich and connected people flout the law. It is just the way corruption works and Antigua is a “paradise” of corruption. It is built into the blood of a deceived people who happily prefer to remain deceived and corrupted. What a shame !
The laws of this nation are only enforced for the small common man. The rich and politically connected are governed by the” do as you like laws” since they are the ones who control the government.
Big MONEY rules. Corruption is the norm.
All who follow the corruption and enjoy the fruits of its ways now, will one day soon wish they had forsaken the evil. Then it will be too late.
