(REAL NEWS)
Police have issued a warning to motorists to slow down on the road, since speed, apparently, was a contributing factor to a four-vehicle accident on Sir George Walter Highway yesterday, May 19.
Reports are that two people had to be rushed to the hospital with minor injuries, as a result of the collision involving a truck, a jeep and two cars.
Further reports are that two of the vehicles were speeding on the highway, when one driver lost control. His vehicle then crashed into the truck, which was transporting bags of cement.
As a result of the impact, the truck flipped onto its side, while the car ran into an oncoming jeep, causing damage to that vehicle’s front bumper.
Both cars involved in the alleged race ended up on the southern side of the highway – one partially in the road, while the other ended up in a ditch on the side of the motorway.
Reportedly, traffic on Sir George Walter Highway was backed up for several hours due to the accident and the vehicle parts strewn all over the road surface.
It is possible that the alleged racers drivers may face charges.
The Police say speeding was a contributing factor to other accidents that occurred over last weekend, as well.

This “warning” is to no avail. You can warn them from now until Lovell loses his seat for the umpteenth time next election, they will NOT listen. Speed thrills.
So true. It’s only when an accident happens that they’re sorry or they should’ve or shouldn’t have. Sad reality is that other are the ones who pay for their speeding.
Antiguans don’t know how to drive lol.
Coming from an American student the irony. You done ingest your houshold detergent yet?
Make them pay for the damage and the police time. Then they will stop speeding….
It’s “possible” the racers will face charges??!!!!
