The police are urging residents to heighten their security awareness and take precautionary measures against break-ins and theft.

Recently, there have been incidents of break-ins and thefts, and although the offences are not widespread, it has raised serious concerns within the Police Administration.

To enhance safety and security, the police advise residents to implement proper security measures to secure their homes and other properties.

Additionally, residents are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and adopt the following safety measures for their safety:

  1. Ensure that your property is secured at all times by locking all windows and doors.
  2. It is advisable to install proper functioning security systems on your property for your safety, security, and also peace of mind.
  3. Avoid leaving valuable items unattended outside your home or on your property.
  4. Report any suspicious vehicles or persons seen loitering in your area to any police station or call 911.

The Police Administration assures residents that additional security measures have been implemented to urgently and adequately address this issue.

The public is urged to continue supporting the efforts of the police as they work to ensure everyone feel safe in the comfort of their homes.

  1. How about more poli pstrol keeping the community safe

  2. Security cameras is not enough, why not make it legal for as least one member in every household to hold a license firearm?😏😏

  3. Beef up on patrolling, please, especially in areas of reported repeated criminal activities day and night. St. John’s area need that urgently.

  4. Do the police work for them is what they are saying. I say this because, I have a security system and someone still broke in and to get the footage to the police they still give you $#!+ ,when you yourself deliver it. Then they tell u the person who will be dealing with it will be working until the next day and they will call. Then wanna come 2 days after to dust for prints and then After 2 weeks nothing then calling and calling nothing. Then drive go to get more attitude because the officer shift about to end and after waiting 20mins just to tell you they still investigating. A lot more there but it’s not even worth it. CUZ 6 months later I just have to walk away and take the loss.

  5. We have to be very careful in these crazy times. We can’t even catch a break when it comes to robberies in this place

  6. Better safe than sorry… locks, alarms, and neighborhood vigilance can make a big difference.”
