Police Renew Appeal for Information in Tuesday’s Shooting

Police are renewing their appeal for information into the East Bus Station shooting incident on Last Lap Tuesday.

It was reported that an armed assailant fired several shots at a group of people under tent at the East Bus, “Shanty Town” area, killing 43-year-old Kergus Martin of Liberta, and injuring others.

Malachi Martin of Liberta and Wayne Knowles of Gambles are still at the hospital receiving medical treatment. Malachi’s condition remains critical, while Knowles is said to be stable.

Police are asking anyone with information surrounding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call Crimestoppers Hotline number at 800-Tips (8477).

    I’m sorry the police didn’t get the opportunity to interview him in reference to the disappearance of that teenage boy from Five Island that has been missing for months now. I do hope that they interrogate his son before he succumb to his injuries also.

    He has gotten away with a lot. But god nar sleep. His day has finally come.

    My children grew up without a father because of his this wicked man and people have him up as some big community hero.

    MINBDBOGGLINGLY AND SUSPICIOUSLY’
